A New York institution — and exactly the kind of house that gets whiskey.

Ambassador is a refined Upper East Side wine & spirits merchant — pressed-tin ceilings, floor-to-ceiling shelving and a densely curated selection that runs well beyond wine into serious spirits. Single malt has real standing here, and their line — "taste the unseen" — tells you everything about the clientele: curious, discerning, in it for the story as much as the bottle.

They already live in the tasting world, running pours at some of NYC's finest establishments. So this isn't a shop being talked into an event — it's a partner who does this for a living, in a neighbourhood thick with exactly the clients you'll want in the room.

02 The tasting room

The reason this is our lead New York venue.

Downstairs sits a dedicated private tasting room — a long black-granite table laid with fine glassware, seating twelve to sixteen in a warm, low-lit, chandeliered space. Intimate, unhurried, and built for exactly one thing: a seated evening around good glasses.

And mounted on the wall — a large screen. That single detail is what makes Ambassador special.

Where your venue meets your portal

The hybrid tasting, made real

Your twelve taste the progression flight in the room, while Flying Tumbler co-hosts live from the bond at Larch Grove onto that screen — nosing pour-by-pour with them, telling the cask's story from where it's maturing. The in-person warmth of a private New York room, plus a live thread back to Ireland. It's the tasting room from your portal, brought to a physical table.

03 Your evening here

What happens on the night — and what we handle for you.

We ship everything ahead. Your twelve progression samples are drawn and bespoke-labelled, and sent — with Tippler & Roller pours, twelve take-home bottles and printed tasting sheets — direct to Ambassador. You just arrive.

You bring your twelve. A fresh twelve of your clients each tasting, seated downstairs. Ambassador provides the room, the glassware and the pour.

We guide the flight. In person, or live from Larch Grove on the room's screen — a seated progression tasting, roughly ninety minutes, paced pour by pour.

Everyone leaves with a bottle. Take-home bottles and allocations are handed out on-site — your clients walk out with something in hand, and the cask's story travels home with them.
